aws.ebs.EncryptionByDefault

Explore with Pulumi AI

Provides a resource to manage whether default EBS encryption is enabled for your AWS account in the current AWS region. To manage the default KMS key for the region, see the aws.ebs.DefaultKmsKey resource.

NOTE: Removing this resource disables default EBS encryption.

Example Usage

Copy

Create EncryptionByDefault Resource

Resources are created with functions called constructors. To learn more about declaring and configuring resources, see Resources.

Constructor syntax

new EncryptionByDefault(name: string, args?: EncryptionByDefaultArgs, opts?: CustomResourceOptions);
@overload
def EncryptionByDefault(resource_name: str,
                        args: Optional[EncryptionByDefaultArgs] = None,
                        opts: Optional[ResourceOptions] = None)

                        opts: Optional[ResourceOptions] = None,
                        enabled: Optional[bool] = None)
func NewEncryptionByDefault(ctx *Context, name string, args *EncryptionByDefaultArgs, opts ...ResourceOption) (*EncryptionByDefault, error)
public EncryptionByDefault(string name, EncryptionByDefaultArgs? args = null, CustomResourceOptions? opts = null)
public EncryptionByDefault(String name, EncryptionByDefaultArgs args)
public EncryptionByDefault(String name, EncryptionByDefaultArgs args, CustomResourceOptions options)
type: aws:ebs:EncryptionByDefault
properties: # The arguments to resource properties.
options: # Bag of options to control resource's behavior.

Constructor example

The following reference example uses placeholder values for all input properties.

var encryptionByDefaultResource = new Aws.Ebs.EncryptionByDefault("encryptionByDefaultResource", new()
{
    Enabled = false,
});
Copy
example, err := ebs.NewEncryptionByDefault(ctx, "encryptionByDefaultResource", &ebs.EncryptionByDefaultArgs{
	Enabled: pulumi.Bool(false),
})
Copy
var encryptionByDefaultResource = new EncryptionByDefault("encryptionByDefaultResource", EncryptionByDefaultArgs.builder()
    .enabled(false)
    .build());
Copy
encryption_by_default_resource = aws.ebs.EncryptionByDefault("encryptionByDefaultResource", enabled=False)
Copy
const encryptionByDefaultResource = new aws.ebs.EncryptionByDefault("encryptionByDefaultResource", {enabled: false});
Copy
type: aws:ebs:EncryptionByDefault
properties:
    enabled: false
Copy

EncryptionByDefault Resource Properties

To learn more about resource properties and how to use them, see Inputs and Outputs in the Architecture and Concepts docs.

Inputs

In Python, inputs that are objects can be passed either as argument classes or as dictionary literals.

The EncryptionByDefault resource accepts the following input properties:

Enabled bool
Whether or not default EBS encryption is enabled. Valid values are true or false. Defaults to true.
Enabled bool
Whether or not default EBS encryption is enabled. Valid values are true or false. Defaults to true.
enabled Boolean
Whether or not default EBS encryption is enabled. Valid values are true or false. Defaults to true.
enabled boolean
Whether or not default EBS encryption is enabled. Valid values are true or false. Defaults to true.
enabled bool
Whether or not default EBS encryption is enabled. Valid values are true or false. Defaults to true.
enabled Boolean
Whether or not default EBS encryption is enabled. Valid values are true or false. Defaults to true.

Outputs

All input properties are implicitly available as output properties. Additionally, the EncryptionByDefault resource produces the following output properties:

Id string
The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
Id string
The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
id String
The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
id string
The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
id str
The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
id String
The provider-assigned unique ID for this managed resource.
